This weekend my school had a level test. On Saturdays I take 2 krav maga classes and then stay for the bag class. Working out on the heavy bag is great for correcting your form, strengthening your core and improving your striking ability. Due to the test they canceled the other classes. I needed to work out with a bag and figured I'd check out L.A Boxing to workout on the heavy bag. Or so I thought. I went to the 11:00 kickboxing class. I gotta say it was a helluva workout. However I will NOT be back. The instructor spent way too much time on the warmup. By the time we got to the bags the time spent wasn't productive as we were all burnt out. I like how the gym is setup and they have plenty of punching bags to work on. Do I think you can learn self defense there?? Not from what I saw. It's more like Tae Bo. I saw some of the shittiest form ever and there wasn't much correction. If you go there a few times a week your stamina will improve.
